Performance

There are hundreds of ways women outperform men.

Together, they explain why the patriarchy denied women the vote. Men denied women checking accounts until the sixties. If two women loved each other, men denied them marriage until recently.

Finally the tide is changing. Women’s power depends less on brawn and more on brains. Things are changing. The power dynamics between heterosexual couples is where I most want to see change. I want women to have the social acceptance and legal framework to rule the men in their lives, should they wish to do so.
